It is the seventh time that Nicolaus Copernicus University has been included in the renowned QS World University Rankings, which includes 1000 best universities in the world.
The ranking, considered the most important ranking of universities in the world, has been conducted by the QuacquarelliSymonds organization since 2004. The ranking takes into account: the opinion of lecturers, the opinion of employers, the ratio of the number of students to the number of lecturers, the number of citations of scientific publications based on Scopus, the percentage of international students and international lecturers. At the top of this year's ranking were three American universities: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University and Harvard.
In addition to the global ranking, its creators have also prepared regional and national rankings. Among the 25 Polish universities that were classified, the Nicolaus Copernicus University was ranked 9th. The Jagiellonian University was recognized as the best Polish university.
