Competences of the Vice-Dean for Development and Organization include:

undertaking activities in the field of development as well as developing and implementing the Faculty strategy,
supervision and coordination of evaluations of scientific activities of academic disciplines operating within the Faculty,
coordination of the publishing policy and contact with Nicolaus Copernicus University Publishing House (Wydawnictwo Naukowe UMK) regarding publications by the Faculty or its staff,
coordination of activities of the Faculty organizational units to ensure collaboration in scientific, didactical and organizational domains, and in training of academic staff,
initiating and implementing activities with the goal of internationalization of the Faculty,
supervision over use and management of scientific and research equipment,
supervision of the Faculty library operations,
identifying, analyzing and assessing risks to the Faculty,
coordinating promotional activities of the Faculty,
deputizing for the Dean of the Faculty during the Dean’s absences.

Competences of the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs include:

submitting proposals for program curricula and class schedules;
organization of the didactical process and its documentation at the Faculty (excluding individual student affairs),
analysis of the internal quality system of education at the Faculty;
management and supervision over the recruitment process,
collaboration with the socio-economic environment of the Faculty as concerns student education,
activities aimed at obtaining external funds for didactical activities,
supervision over implementation of the teaching process in the USOS and MOODLE systems,
deputizing for the Dean of the Faculty during the Dean’s absences.

Competences of the Vice-Dean for Student Affairs in exercising this function include:

making decisions in individual student matters,
supervision of the USOS system as concerns individual student assignments to groups,
care over activities of the student government at the Faculty as well as initiating, promoting and supporting the scientific, sport and cultural initiatives of students,
coordinating contacts and collaboration with schools,
supervision over the system of providing material assistance to students,
collaboration with the socio-economic environment of the Faculty as concerns student education,
deputizing for the Dean of the Faculty during the Dean’s absences.
